Join us on the journey of cultural re-creation1 that is the collective calling of our time.
Deep Conversion Communications is a for-benefit firm that facilitates creativity, story, and values-based outreach strategies for sustainability oriented clients, particularly those attempting to forge alliances with or within the Christian faith community. In addition, we produce formational materials for Christians who desire a simultaneous deepening of their faith and a transformation toward comprehensive green living. All of our offerings are intended to contribute to the conversion of individuals, organizations and society toward a new, creative culture of sustainability and justice.
What is “Deep Conversion?”
“Deep Conversion” is, most simply, about the progressive, daily, practical living – on personal and systemic levels – of an ideal vision of a sustainable, fairness-infused world. This ideal vision is held in common, high value by the modern, secular prophets of environmentalism and social justice, on the one hand, and by the Jewish prophets of the Old Testament and Jesus Christ, on the other. Paraphrased from Cultural Historian, Thomas Berry, The Great Work, 1999
1 We must note to readers that we developed our business vision and wrote our site copy and then soon after happened to start reading The Cultural Creatives by Paul Ray and Sherry Anderson. The resonances and similarities in ideas and language are uncanny, so there must be a collective consciousness that we're tapping into. If you have a chance, read the book - it is fantastic for all who are looking to make a new way.
2 “Earth Community” refers to Thomas Berry’s emerging culture concept in The Great Work.
