We are a “communications” business in that we facilitate the communication of others through vision/mission/story articulation processes and specialized, values-oriented public outreach strategies. In addition, we have some communications of our own – workshops, lectures, curricula, blogs, etc. – to share. Overall, we are, appropriate to this green age, a hybrid – a little bit secular activist organization, a little bit church ministry, a little bit PR firm, a little bit creativity facilitation, and a little bit academic. In every case these communications are intended to contribute to the conversion of individuals, organizations and society toward a new, creative culture of sustainability and justice.
Those considering working with us may be interested to know as well that, while we are deeply “conversion” oriented with respect to eco/social justice, we are not at all concerned with the religion or lack thereof of our clients, other than those specifically seeking our Christian formation offerings. In other words, we are evangelists for the common good, but not for Christian dogma or the Church per se, which, ironically, needs additional converting in itself to its own ideals. Further, we consider ourselves to be politically independent and ascribe to none of the current economic ideologies. Rather, we believe in the emerging politics and economics guided by ecology.
Of final note is the fact that we are a “for-benefit” firm, which means that we have the soul and mission of a non-profit, combined with the efficiency and creativity of a small business. Beyond reasonable salaries and operating expenses, all profits are either reinvested into the development of our offerings or given to non-profits with harmonious missions.
